ads have now been edited to say all fish are unsexed, this way there can be no arguement that the fish are being sold incorrectly sexed

I reckon the the smaller L260 has to be female as shes got CO (commanding officer) patterned on her head. :D

For those not familiar with the scobiancistrus species, they all look fairly thin fish in body so you are going to have to rely on head shape, odontodes etc to sex them.

for what i know of, the L260 is a pair, thel L066 is a trio and the L14 is a trio. but the admin changed them all to unsexed and i dont know why.

so far all the fish i sold are correctly sexed and buyers no complaints.

but what you see is what you get..

L260 the small one definitely can't count as a female, way too small and skinny. Big one could be a male, but its quite skinny and possibly deformed(left gill seems to stick out)

L066 same thing the fish aren't in breeding condition and don't exhibit any odontodes as i can see.... Head shape alone can't guarantee a male or female

The L014 same thing the fishes stomach literally goes in and they are way undersized to be able to sex properly.....

"....correctly sexed and buyers no complaints."

Not what l have heard, why not stick with what the admin has done and let the buyers sex them, a whole lot less problems for you that way.

Could not agree with you more, l feel they are 2 males also.

Let it go Krystine, just sell the fish and let the buyers decide, the admin didnt just change your post for fun, he must had the same opinion or even some complaints...let it go

If there is any doubt about the sex of fish for sale as in this case, then it is best that they are sold as unsexed, this protects the buyer and also the seller. We do however have a very good ID/sexing forum for anyone to use.

no more comments from me, what you see is what you get.

see my feedback, previous buyers were happy about the fish i sold.

for the pro breeders: more than welcome to sexed them.

they are in healthy and no deformity.

Sorry to say Krystine I don't think you can sex a fish to save yourself. When I met you to buy some females of a particular fish you arrived with all males for me to choose from, even though you knew I was only wanting to buy a single female. Wasted both mine and your time. You also did the exact same thing to a friend of mine.

Lets not forget the carry on with L46 males that you said were females, there was a dispute on PF about it, so don't say your sexing is always correct and all buyers are happy, we know that is not entirely true.

From all the stories I've heard, there is no way I would buy a fish without inspecting it in person first. Interstate buyers would be highly recommended to have someone local they trust inspect the fish first if possible.

Not really having a go at you Krystine, but what you said is not true and there are so many rip-off mongrels around that all buyers have a right to know.
