Hi all, I think I have a Sick rasbora ( not the one with missing scales, he's ok now).
This male is swimming strangely, only noticed when I was feeding them.He is swimming at an angle, head up and tail down, he also looks a bit reder than the rest of them.He is eating ok and doesn't look fat or to thin.
Any ideas??
ps
i did do a water test just to check, before i left for work, all ok.only change from last week is the nitrate which is 5,last week it was 20..:dk:

Is he swimming like that all the time? if so it is probably a swim bladder problem. Often it is fairly difficult to treat as there are various reasons why they have it. Options I have seen are move the fish to shallower water and raise the temp if that doesn't work then you could try using some aquarium salt but not in the main tank.

If it isn't swimming like that all the time, then it could be he is gulping air when eating or he is eating flake food which hasn't had time to absorb the water. Dry flake foods can often cause problems and some people pre-soak before adding to tank.

I spect the others will be ok, but pre soaking dried foods is a good idea anyway.

pre soaking there food is the way to go i think.just feed them and all food was eaten up in inder a min.before it would fly around the tank for 10 mins or so before they touched it.
