Little Marble is very thin

I just got home from tafe yesterday. My mum has been feeding my fish for me and she assured me that she was giving them exactly what I told her to give them and I trust that she did.

One thing I have noticed tonight it my little marble bristlenose looks very unwell. Really really thin. Here's some pictures to compare.
Here he is a few days after I brought him home.

And this is what he looks like tonight.

I put in a couple of extra wafers so he could have a chance of eating and he has been having the occasional nibble. He doesn't seem to get right into it like the others do. He's the smallest bottom dweller I have at only 2-3cm but is also one of the more active and doesn't mind coming out in the light unlike the others.

I don't know what I should do. There's only so much food I can put in, but there's no guarantee that he'll eat it.
He's so little and looks so helpless.

Please help.

even lettice is good to leave in the tank for there size they should be grazing through out the day and lettice doesn't go off as fast but it doesn't put on weight but gives the a big appitite.

If you don't have any fresh veggies on hand. You can use canned green peas (remove the out skin) or canned green beans. My plecs love them.

Thanks guys. I've just moved him into the breeder with four baby platys for the night with half a wafer to eat. I had some peas in the tank last night but I only saw my larger albino having a munch on them. I don't know if he had any during the night.
I'll go buy a zucchini tomorrow just for the little guy if I have to.

He looks really poorly bless him

I had this happen to a 144 and nothing I would do would make him eat. I treated him with meds for weeks and nothing worked - he just starved himself to death, but I was amazed at how long it took, I only moved in the quarantine because he went so pale and I wasn't sure he was eating.

I checked on him as soon as I woke up this morning and it doesn't look like he touched the wafer at all. I'm gonna go buy a zucchini today and see if he'll take that.

I don't know what meds they have over there but I would personally treat. I used ESHA 2000 and Exit to give a real broad spectrum hit. If he has had the opportunity to eat and hasn't then something is definitely wrong

Small Freakout! I just got home and the power was out! That's the last thing I need when I have a sick bristlenose. But luckily it came back on within 10 minutes of me being home but I don't know how long it was out for.

So I've bought this stuff called Wardley promethyasul. It's a broad spectrum treatment for Bacterial, Fungal and Parasitic Diseases. That should cover it right? lol
It says 30ml per 120 litres. I only bought a 30ml bottle because my tank is that volume. Do I just dump the whole lot in or do I add it gradually over a certain time frame?
I have pretty much no experience in treating my fish for diseases.

I normally mix it with tank water first then gradually add it. Make sure you don't have carbon running as it will just take the meds straight back out again. Hopefully something broad spectrum will do the trick. Good luck

poor thing! he (or she) looks run down. I would just follow the details on the bottle. dont forget if your tank is 120 litres, the water volume is probably nearwe 100 L cos if gap at top and gravel, wood etc take up volume, so check dosage carefully. if it does not say much onm how to dose it its a good idea to add it over 10-20 mins so fish adjust to any changes. also some meds use up oxygen so make sure water surface is agitated, eg point filter output at surface or add air stone or venturi.

Ok I'll mix it with some tank water and add it gradually. I don't have carbon running in my filter so that's fine. I will reduce the dosage to 100L. I thought that maybe the water in the filter might make up the extra volume but I don't think it's enough so I'll do just under the full dose. Fingers crossed!
