Is there a quiet airpump?

Sorry if this has been asked and answered before :blushing:
I've been using Whisper airpumps for years - some were secondhand when I bought them, so well past their best now! I recently replaced 4 of them with Tetratec's AP300s, but they're not as quiet as I'd hoped. I still need to replace my other 4 Whisper airpumps, but I'm wondering if there's a quieter pump than the APS300?
Thanks :)

Probably too big for you but in my fish house i run a Hailea V60... i currently have around 20 lines running off it and it will easily run another 20 by the looks of it. But main thing is that it is extremely quiet, The only noise i hear is the air coming out the sponge filters.

Thanks for your reply. That wouldn't work for my set-up though. I have tanks in a few different rooms, including 3 in the living room, so I'm really hoping to reduce the annoying background buzzing - don't want to move the tanks though, better than watching television!

Hiya My set ups are similar, a few in each room, I have my noisy ones wrapped in bubble wrap lol..they are all duel pumps, all still too noisy for my liking.
I only have one that is quiet and its only running one tank...it is a AquaOne AP150R single outlet.
Tip ...I bought a brand new AquarWorld AW 05 duel outlets, its the noisiest I've had to date, I haven't even bothered to use it, keeping it for a spare...So give those a miss if you're after peace n quiet..

I like the eheim, it is completely silent when new, however after a year or so its starts to get noisey, the sad thing is eheim do spares for so many of their items but no spare membrane for the air pump!
not found any that are quiet for long.

Irene, I've decided to order an Eheim, if it's fairly quiet I'll buy a few more!

Air pumps drive me nuts so I use a diffuser on the filter and it works like magic and is pretty much silent apart from the hiss of the bubbles.

Thanks for all your replies.
I've ordered an Eheim 3702, should be here any day - not sure whether I should have got the 3704 which is a bit bigger pump, but I'll see what it's like and if it's ok I'll order a few more.
Thanks

Have now got the Eheim 3702 set up for one of my 3ft tanks, also using the 2 air diffusers which came with the air pump. No noise apart from the bubbles :woohoo:
Have ordered 2 more (trying the Eheim3704 as well).
Thanks to all who replied :)
