Hi Henk,
I think it could be a L316,not 100% sure though.
There is so many Hypancistrus plecs that looks so much alike, telling them apart is a total nightmare.Hope someone on this forum can give you a more positive ID for your fish

Hey Henk.

Not Compta :D
L316 are really flat and the most hairy hypan you will ever see and at 9cm you would be able to see this
L318 Cant be arsed with getting into the do they don't they exist.

I would be looking towards L270

Nice fish either way

Cheers

is it 333?? some of mine bought as 333 exactly the same looking & having problem with breeding . eating egg etc but now they are breeding ok.
only small batch of egg though. less than 30 and really slow growing as well
first batch about 6month ago but they are only about 3cm even less.

I thought it's lower Xingu 333.
anyway, i would like to know as well what they are.
cheers.

what is it?

This fish is in with the L270 they are now growing much bigger than this fish. I have some better pics so can someone ID this fish please? As you can see in the pictures the L270 have out grown this particular fish (the one with white not yellow) yet the smaller fish is much older than the L270
