The one you call L138 looks more like a L152. Doesnt the L138 have small spots?

It doesnt have the red fins.. and it does have spots on the fins?

I don't think the spots are too important in identification because (with my Hypostomus cochliodon at least) they seem to develop more with age and size. And I think the colour in the fins is quite subjective especially against the white substrate. Either way, the blue/steel eyes should dismiss L138 in favour of Hypostomus soniae (perhaps even L360).

I like your Hypostomus, the L138 looks like another Hypostomus soniae (L137) to me.

I bought the fish as L137 but the more I stare at it everyday, the more I think is a variant of a L137 as L137 has no spots on the fins whereas this pc does.
Looking up the planetcatfish I think L138 best suit him. Any other Id for him?
