Ok, so I've just joined this forum and am hoping to meet / converse with like minded people and to extract some knowledge from your archives for the benefit of my own plec's and/or personal satisfaction.

I'm not really sure as to what to expect but I've nowt to loose so I'll just dive straight in.

I've been keeping fish on and off for over 20years, bred some, showed some and won trophies at club level, but never with plec's which are relatively new to me as a serious side hobby.

I currently have:-

1x L18 (I think) Gold Nugget (Graham)(Don't ask me its the Mrs:dk:)
2x LDA33 large spot snowball (frosty and snowy (how original, LOL)
2x L240a Galaxy pelcs (Bert and Ernie) (so we've been told but do need properly identifying)
2x L204 Flash pleco (Gorden and Sparky)
2x L128 Blue Phantoms
2x L183 Starlight bristle nose plec's
1x L264 Sultan plec (frankie, the king of swing,:dk:, LOL)
1x L071 Peppermint pleco (minty)

All of my plecs are young juvenile fish so all the fun is yet to come but I'm prepared to do what it takes to keep these wonderful fish. At the moment they are spread through 5 4ft tanks. All have stacks of flow and filtration and are dimly lit with lots of bogwood and a fine substrate.

I also keep a large variety of other fish mostly loaches and small cats and have one 4ft 240L hi-tech planted tank which takes up way to much of my time.

Regards, Chris.

Hi again,

Thanks to all for your warm welcome.

I'm not sure it was bravery posting the names of my Plec's up here probably more like stupidity, LOL. Besides its the Mrs, honestly.

The starlights are a very recent edition and are only about 1-1/2" and I'm sure she'll think up names for them in due course and the phantoms I keep fending off the silly suggestions. I don't know why they just seem a bit too special to me to be referred to as anything other than phantoms. But she'll win in the end and I'll have to refer to them by their eventually chosen pet names when discussing them with her.

To be honest its the same with our cars.:dk::dk:

You try ringing up the garage and telling them Monica needs fixing!!! (that was our old cavalier):cry:

Women.:wb:
