hi guys and girls

I posted a tread about a 6ft long tank i am creating. After feed back i am going to keep my rusty in another tank. What i have left is my bn's and zebra's that i would like to combine.

Questions: is it ok to combine these two, if idesign the tank towards the shy nature of the zebra's?

Does anyone have pictures of their tanks that i can see to help me out?

I can only have the tank a max of 19inch wide - is this ok?

If i placed ledges in the tank and build hiding places upwards (securely) would they use them?

Will my BN fry be safe and survive from the zebra's?

if zebra's and bn's are not a good mix can anyone suggest combinations that are?

hope you can all help me -

thanks :hi::yes:

if it's zebra's as in L046's then personally no is the answer. simple.
I agree, I have zebs and they are kept at 30 C, My Bn's are at 26C.

Zebs are best kept alone as they are very shy eaters. If they are kept with other species then you can't guarentee they will get any food and could starve.

I keep chocolate zebras with marbled Bns and they both breed OK. in 4 ft tank x1x1, but I would not mix L46 with larger common BNs.

ok, well first of all the BN's and zeb's have different dietry requirements making them unsuitable to house together. 2. most people who keep zeb's acutally want to look after them and therefore keep them in a species tank or with fish less competitive for food. 3. the price, it doesn't matter how rich you are no-one likes to waste money and you will be if you decide to mix BN's with zeb's and the zeb's will slowly wilt away from starvation.

happy now?

Actually I am with the information but not with the attitude of distane that drips from your language. I thought this forum was to share experience s and knowledge not to look down upon those who wish to learn and certainly not to use sarcasm to fill some kind of egotistical need to belittle others. I apologise if I have offended you by asking my initial questions. Other than that I no longer wish to communicate with you but rather continue to learn from others. Kind wish's and deepest regrets. Honestly, I think I am back in kindergarden. Cole your first repsonse should have been, can you provide more info please instead of your response. This caused the initial trigger. Apart from that following responses to your questions. Everyone grow up and dont take mails personally etc.
1. if you wish to breed zebras, do this on their own as they are shy and quite Ls and need atime to settle.
2. The diet requirements are different
3. tank pics are in the forum section, so there are plenty to choose from.
4. tank width is ok
5. higher ledges have not been successfull
6. would not have bn with L46 fry so on their own no problem
7. L046 should be kept on their own and not with other Plecs.

Good luck cheers jk
