Hi all, I currently have a Hailea ACC 388D (90 Ltrs / min) air pump that runs around 10 airstones but runs at 70 watts and sounds like an aircraft taking off (60dB).

Not very practical for my living room.

Basically I need an air pump or several air pumps that are silent to run 4 x 40L sponge filters and 6 or so air stones.

Can I have recommendations please.

More concerned about power consumption and noise levels.

Thanx.

Looking at the specs of the air pump I have at the minute it produces 90 litres a min, so that would be 5,400 litres an hours.

So if I got an Ehiem 400, I would need 14 of these, is this right?
Yes that's right. I use blagdon Koi air myself as it gives me the power I need, but I couldn't live with the noise at home.
To drive the items you mentioned in your first post wouldn't need 14 air pumps tho,4-5 would probably do

I have a hailea also, with mine I have placed it inside a poly box with ventilation holes then placed it up up an away in the roof. All I did then was use plastic plumbing pipework to run to my tanks, works a treat and zero noise in the lounge.

just a thought, how about the tetratec abs 100 / 150, I have one of these in my room on my main display tank running a air curtain and it noise, there more noise from the acctual bubbles than the air pump itself, and if you use a 5 way valve x 2, you should be fine.
