Hi all,
Looks like a Cyprinid to me too with those big scales. How about a Mahseer? wrong colour I suppose.



If it is a Marine fish? a Humphead Wrasse or similar.

Ok its not a cyrindae or a shark- the mouths are totally wrong, its mouth is the same.as a pleco and it is about a foot long! I don't know I thought you guys knew it all!lol

Cyprinidae, as suspected. Cyprinidae is a large family containing carp, goldfish & minnows. Had another browse through & came across a fish called a "blue sucker". Name pretty much matched your description.

i can second that for the fish being a black shark. they get huge and i've seen some pretty big ones at the lfs, long time ago though.

i hope your not thinking of getting one? :lol:
