I did a post a short time ago regards the way my fish will not eat the skin on courgettes if I have brought them from a supermarket but will eat the skin if they are fresh or home grown I always assumed it was the Co2 used in storage that caused the problem, I am now rethinking this issue.
On the subject Of E coli I am sure it lives in the lower gut or rectum and would be as destructive to fish as it is to humans. I guess we need to wait for our resident scientific chap to come back from Holiday?
he will have the answer to this question I am sure

That's interesting about your findings about the skin...I myself have not found any problems with the skins bought from my local F&V shop or any I have bought from Aldi, fish devour them just the same...I have planted some outside to see if I can grow them successfully.

I'm still feeding cucumber over here. I don't see anything strange among the fry Sturisoma, who eat it. I wash it first but further than that I don't do anything different then before. I must say, I'm not eating any cucumber myself :s I'm scared of what could happen.....

The Sturisoma eat only the softer insides of the cucumber :)

I think it turns out it may not be the cucumbers but a festival in Germany, hopefully no plecs have been partying.

Hi Guys...I take it most of you have seen the news about the Killer Cucumbers contaminated by E.coli...Does anyone know if fish can be effected by this?
Wouldn't matter if cucumbers with e-coli were harmful to fish or not if you were dead from feeding the affected cucumber in the first place.
