L135 fin damage...

hello o great ones

I had to lump 6 different fish into my q tank of only 60ltr.... about 4 weeks ago i bought a lady frind for my orginal l135 called reed (r.i.p:cry:) the lady friend has been bullied in the th e q tank and now has this fin damage (apologies for bad photgraph) I was planning to leave it and see... but has anyone else got any ideas to help her?

Plenty of water changes and check the ammonia levels.

Is the suspect culprit still in the same tank?

i just did a 100% water change (you know y!) ... is it ok to do water changes or will i upset the balance i am trying to achieve?

The culprit is still in the same tank but i have never had problems before they were cramed in with no room to breath- they normally chill together!!

Small water changes won't hurt too much, at worst they will slow any cycling down a little. In a tank that small you do need to be monitoring ammonia and nitrite everyday, even twice daily. Did you check the ammonia levels today?

The problem is whilst they may normally get on, they have both been moved to unfamiliar surrounding and are sorting out their territory. Does the fin damage look ripped or kinda melted looking?

they are now back in the 200ltr tank as the other fish where doing so well and they look very settled and back in there caves... well at the moment they are playing in the bubbles together!!

It looks ripped for sure...no melting or fungus and she is using it fine.

The amonia is 0 in the 200ltr and the same in the q tank.... i have my small bn's left in the q tank and have done a 10ltr change (its a60ltr tank), they will all go into the 200ltr tomorrow as i've run out of energy trying to catch the buggers!!!

Ok, then I would just keep an eye on her and water parameters. As long as she isnt stressed then should heal up fine.

the fin is looking good thank goodness, she is totally fine in herself aswell! figners crossed it stays that way!resepct and thanks cole
