new filter sponge

hi,did a water change and cleaned out the filter sponges on my 7dL.
i noticed that the corse sponge is starting to fall apart,so i need new ones.
the problem is that i cant find spares anywhere,even ebay!
any one here sell filter sponges?ill cut them down so they fit the filter.

I'm at home just now but will look tomorrow to see if I have anything that would be of use to you...I'm thinking that something from the Juwel range may be of use to modify...They do fine and course.

I've had a measure of various sponges that I have and found that the pack of 4 foams for a Fluval 3 plus filter comes out at 6x6x18cm if you use the 4 foams together as 1 block...They only come in 1 grade tho.
All the Juwel sponges are 5cm thick, the standard being the closest at 12x12x5cm,so cutting this in half would give you a 5x6x12cm sponge.
All the Eheim pick up sponges are 5.5cm x 5.5cm x various heights with a hole down through them.

The fine grade will filter out smaller particles but its not essential

both types and a spare set.shame u don't have a palpal account. Im out at the mo
so I'll have to order them tomorrow.
Just been lookin at the sponges u sell and was wondering if the nitrate sponge
would be as good as the fine one, is it worth getting nitrate one as we as the corse one?

Don't bother with the nitrate one as it is only a normal sponge with a capsule of bacteria in the middle.
