What part of the tank needs to be painted? Sides? Back?
What material is the tank? Glass? Plexi?

If its glass, you could simply scrape off the beach coloration & paint it black. I always used spray paint. There was a thread within the last couple of months regarding painting, others liked to use different types of paint. Only really need to wait until the paint is dry as you'll only be painting the outside.

i'm fairly sure its just a wood effect coloured tape stuck over plastic on them, maybe the tape could be removed:dk:

Yeah your right made my bloke get rid of his xbox 360 coz it didn't match my fish tank. You are done for. Sorry.

You would have to figure out how to remove the top and bottom frame or tape it off, if you can do that you could use spray paint, is it not called plasti kote. I can be used on fridges etc. Used that stuff before but pretty potent, I was actually spraying stuff with it. Might explain some of my posts though.

Hi,

I've tried removing the top frame on a jewel tank before bloody near impossible if you ask me I gave up in the end. The bottom plastic comes off easily though.

As its plastic not sure how you would go about painting it without the finish flaking off after a while.

Why not try the Ebay option, sell the one you've got and buy what you want with the proceeds. You may end up coming out fairly even. Just a thought and maybe another option worth considering.

Chris.

I know you can take the top frame off a fluval roma by slicing the silicone along the inside edge never tried it on a Juwel. You would have to be good at taping off the glass and spray paint gets everywhere bit of a faff.

something like that was already suggested I think, vinyl, fablon same stuff isn't it. Just go for black electricians tape, the blue stuff used to be a good fix for most stuff fixed a dyson with it.
