Hi guys

this is my first post on the forum

and i am trying to setup my first pleco tank and i was wondering what the minimum tank size would be for these great little guys?

i have a spare 2footer but not sure if i will use it.

i would like to know also if a canister or internal filter would be best for this??

any help you can give me will be appreciated

thanks matt

Add a little ehiem classic 2213 filter to the 2ft and they will be ok for a year or more.

They might want a 2.5ft or 3ft later on with a 2215 canister.

Inside you will want a powerfilter, powerhead or wavemaker just to keep the current up as plecos have high oxygen requirements.

i will be after a 3 footer as soon as i have the fish i want.
i brought an eheim aquaball internal filter on the weekend and put that in the tank and i think its going pretty well.
i also have a sponge filter in there also for them
