Fish 1 Definitely looks Female to me, 1 male 1 female hopefully this helped a bit, lovely fish just soooo expensive here in AUS you guys are so lucky

Thanks very much I was hoping it was a she, was sold as a male but it just doesnt look like the male and more like my other female, if you click on my blog in my sig you can open up a really big pic of the two, this hopefully female has some hair but nothing like the males do, so yeah fingers crossed

She's a pretty fair sized looking fish so I think female. If it was going to be a male it would have shown more male characteristics by now.

i agree i think its a male also.... very long pec fins and thick black lines around the head....holding back with dominant male present.... female of that age should be much fatter in general....

the bigger of the two is def male....

but thats only my opinion... do they both cave ???

Hi mate its not caving no, it is hanging about the rockpile with the other female and the younger ones, but then I have another large adult male who is there too so I dunno :/ confused

Yes these two are a pair for sure.

Have a look in my gallery i have uploaded a pic of one of my females vent,you can see a distinct u shape a male will be more like a v shape.
It's the only real way to tell.:yes:

they are perfect examples for distingishing sexes...

male is very male big head and typcal V shape....
female is narrow head pointy nose and typical U shape....
