Hi all, i recently had my dream tank built, its 90"x48"x36"high made using 19mm glass. The tank was made by a friend and the hood was made by Les at Coral Aquariums in Maghull.

the filtration is a 18" Lacron sand filter and a 18000s Sequence pump in a small shed outside with a load of insulation.

here's the pic's, bloody loads of them :)

Brilliant!

more details on the filtration?

I could spend 100's of pounds on the wood for that alone!

What you going to stock it with? What are the pvc pipes for?

I would have some monster Panaque and an asian aro in there

ps - Brians bit of wood would go lovely in there

Thank's:yes:
The Filtration was fitted by Neil from Pier Aquatics
not a lot more to say on the filtration really, i wanted it to be as simple as possible, the pump has a 1.5" inlet and outlet so the tank has a 1.5" drain in the wier and a 1.5" return which also come's back in through the wier where it splits into 2 1" eyeball sockets that you can see in the pic. I did them on that angle to get the flow moving around.

As for the stocking, ive got the 3 12" L14 wich Pier Aquatics got in for me.

after much searching i managed to get hold of 5 L25's and 2 L24's. the L25's range from 2.5" to 5" and the L24's are about 6-7". ive also got a 17" Lince Cat (Platynematichthys Notatus) called thunder .

the PVC pipes where for the L25's to hide in but they dont go near it so it will be coming out as ive just ordered some terracotta wine rack's for them.

the wood is huge, i already had the 3 smaller pieces from my last tank, not exactly small pieces tho lol. the 2 bigger pieces came from Pier Aquatics. who is Brian and what is his wood like? bog wood that is

still kind of undecided of what else to put in there, was thinking maybe some Geo's ??? or somthing like that, any ideas

depending on how heavy i feed them, just a simple backwash once a week. from the sand filter ive got a pipe running to a drain.

the geo's ive been looking at are about 4" so i think they will be safe with him, might jus try one for a couple of weeks to see how it goes as they aint cheap
