hi all,i got up an hour ago and had a look in my tank.
and i noticed that perry (L333) has got small small white spots randomly
placed all over him.not lots but id say around 4 per 15mm sq on him...
they look like bits off sand ,but not sand.he still seems happy,
moving around etc.tryed to get a pic but the iphone is crap at under water pics.
ive had a look at the other fish they seem ok,no spots..
should i worry??

Sounds like whitespot to me

You need to get some meds that treat whitespot (not sure what's available in the UK).
It spreads easily so you will need to treat the whole tank as even though the other fish seem unaffected they probably are infected.

Ok if you are sure its whitespot then thats what you will have to treat for. What other fish are in the tank? was protozin the only ich med available?

Try increasing the temperature too up to as close to 30c as you can, make sure you increase the O2 too as warmer water holds less disolved O2, the meds may reduce the O2 as well

Persoanlly I'd go for the Esha 2000 and Esha Exit combination which should hit the whitespot nicely, but if it's anything else it should sort that too
