Well my Albino B/n pair finally spawned in their new breeding tank. Hopefully this will be my first successful spawn. But I have few questions do I need to do anything other than daily water changes once there is eggs? And B/ns become wrigglers at 3 days and free swimmers at 7 correct?
Thanks for the help!

congrats on the spawn:clap:
you shouldn't have to do much more really, providing that the fry get enough food once they are out and about, which should be in about a week or so yes, if you have any particular fry food you wanted to give them though, i'd start feeding the tank with it a few days before you expect them out

My water tends to stay between 77-79 degrees. What kind of fry food do you guys recommend?

Also I'm new to pleco breeding, do I leave both parents with them?

Hey guys I have an update!
My first egg hatched yesterday all by himself and I wondered what was going on. But to my suprise this afternoon I walked by the tank and babies were everywhere :woohoo: I'm so excited to finally have a spawn in a breeding tank! Hopefully all continues to go well!

Edit: I have noticed a few toward the surface just kind of flowing around, but still moving. Is this normal?

yep, sure is normal. The fry love to hang around at the top, and more often than not, in the flow of the filter. If the are attached to the glass then they are fine :)

once they take on their adult colouring, generally after about 10-15 days, they will being to explore more, if they are allowed out of the cave by dad. If you still see them ll hanging around the top then you may have low oxygen levels. I always add an extra airstone in to a tank with fry to make sure no one is wanting for O2.

All the best :D

Well done! Always such a good moment when you see those little eggs and when you come back later and they are swimming! Send us some photos of the little wigglers :D
