If your after cheap then you could always use 18mm black waste pipe. Thats what i first started with until I met my cave supplier

Good luck and dont put your face too close to the slate. if you get a shard of slate in your eye dont rub it and go straight to a mirror and you should be able to rub it towards the tear duct where it will come out.
