Beans? any type more so canned kidney beans, a recent article i read indicated it as a super food. There was an element of them that proves partially indigestible to humans leading to bacteria in the colon creating "gas", im unsure if this same element would prove likewise to loricariidae?

no never tried beans, however would only get those dried from a health food store and not canned due to possible addtiives. In theory mose Ls are partial vegetarians anyway. They consume vegetable matter etc. I do not think they would get a greater build up of gasses due to this and also due to the beans. Maybe just feed them adhoc. cheers jk

well if you get dried kidney beans you have to soak for 24 hrs before cooking to remove arsenic or something so I would worry about trace poison on fish. I have fed them cooked broad beans and the beans out of runner beans ok.
