Found her damaged whilst netting out some fish...

Did she get assaulted or is she suffering an illness?

oh dear, looks to me like serious skin infection. is she alive?? treat with esha 2000 if you have any . if not, what meds do you have?

do big water change to prevent others catching it

I don't have much meds around...

Guess I'll need to seperate her into a quarantine tank!!!

Just googled esha 2000 and it says its a fungus, finrot and bacteria treatment...

I'm sure I have something similar here somewhere...

lots of goos clean water, but she may be too far gone to recover. try finrot type treatment if you have some. I like the esha2000 as it covers a range of ailments and does not wreck the filter.

Just an update...

Checked on her yesterday and she seems to be healing quite well!!!

The redness has gone away which is a very good sign...

I wanted to check up on her again today, but thought best to leave her alone...

Update...

Dorsal is growing back!!! Still very short but growing...

Skin is healing well and looks like scab is peeling off...

Quite happy with it!!!
