I have seen some solar powered ones here, give me a day or two and i'll see what info I can dig up for you.Is the car battery a joke? Has my hair turned blonde? :dk:
I have some killifish that are cold water species and I thought I might put them in the garden shed. I don't want to run power down and wondered about a huey hung filter. Sounds like the battery operated ones wont even last a day. Any other ideas?
car battery + mains inverter = a good few hours of everything running ok
The car battery and invertor works, you have to make sure the battery is always charged. This is good as a backup if you ever have a power cut, cheap than a generator. Not sure how long a car battery would supply some air pumps though. Is the car battery a joke? Has my hair turned blonde? :dk:

To make sure the battery is always charged you can get a trickle charger on the battery which keeps it fully charged and extends the life of a battery that isnt used often. We use them at home on my father's MG and my mini when they're not going to get a drive for a good while. The car battery and invertor works, you have to make sure the battery is always charged.
