I have a colony of 6 L134s, 3F/3Ms. They have bred several times before. Last year they took a break. They share the tank with some celestial pearl danios. When they were breeding, the L134s were as well. Last year the CPDs did not breed (at least I did not notice it and did not set an egg trap to catch any eggs as I did not need any more of the CPDs) and the L134s also did not breed. This season I noticed the CPDs breeding again, by accident as I noticed a fry during a water change. I set the egg trap and got many more since. Will this cause the L134s to breed or is this a myth?

I think it's a mith
If the cps are breeding and they require the exact same conditions as your 134's the my opinion is that they are a good indicator to tell you that you good water

This is only my opinion

I have tried this with guppies. I had 4 tanks with peps and guppies. And 4 tanks with peps and no guppies and I actually got more fry out of the ones with no guppies but I have heard of many people using this method, didn't work for me though
