I am in the process of setting up a small rack to recreationally breed some bristlenose.
WHat do people out there reccomend? Trios (at what ratio) or pairs?
And what is the ideal tank dimensions per breeding group?

value for the dollar - a pair is all you need and when you do the sums are most productive in the long term...

many people keep multiple females to one male but it lessens the efficiency of the girls as the male can only fan so many eggs before he loses condition and then wont spawn... this is when you chuck in a new male if you have one...

a good pair can spawn every 7-14 days in ideal conditions... and can do this for several years if you dont disturb them....
