i just looked into the tank where our male common bristlenose is hideing, well he is on the top inside of the wall in the big ship, and it looks to me that there is orange/pink eggs hanging from the wall at the top ??? dose this sound right, as i thought they would be floating at ground level in a cave ect, any help would be great, thanks troy :woohoo:

Orange sounds right, not sure why they would be so high but I would leave dad to deal with it. If he kicks them out or leaves them you could collect them up and put in a fry saver with oxygen and water movement. Sometimes dads don't do very well first time round but they learn pretty quick and normally breed regularly once they start.

Once they eat the egg sac they will start venturing out looking for food. I fed mine crushed wafers/flakes/spirulina tabs and veggies

hard to tell with first fry, but often they have 80-100 young. i would not move them for a few weeks, let them get bigger and stronger first.
the trick is givingthem plenty of food without poluting thetank with too much food.
I would put small food in like a pinch of crushed flakes several times a day, also put some pinned down veg such as slightly cooked courgette (tie to stone or put a fork/teaspoon through it. this means there is always something for them to chew on , and replace it (if any left) each day.
Also I would do daily small (warm) water changes if you are able so water is kept pristine) cos with all the babies releasing pee etc teh water can polute easily.
yoou mention having 4 Bns? if more than one male do watch out for fighting!

i have made a stainless steel holder, just a flat piece of steel with a 2 mm rod coming up from it, its very hard to see but holds down all the vegs, its a 4 ft tank with a 1500 l/h external canester filter, i have photo's if anyone is interested but they are to big to upload so pm your email address and i will send some, and im not shore what a fry saver is ? also i just saw a neon tetra in there that looks as if it might have a white spot on his mouth, if i treet this will it affect the eggs or fry ? thanks everyone

if you can take the neon out and put in a qt tank i would.
also do big w/c to reduce any spores in the tank
you may have to treat the whole tank if it is proper whitespot,
most whitespot cure is ok with young Bns , be careful not to overdose, dont know about wrigglers but you may not have a choice if you see any more infection in thetank.

As above but turn heater up to 30 is what i have done with commons and small amount of salt leave 2-3 days than 50% water change and put in carbon to remove meds, leave a day look closely for any spots or fish rubbing if any spots or rubbing repeat day 5 repeat treatment after 8 days you should have nailed it if not do again.
Theres a new white spot now around and is hard to kill so you may need to change brand of treatment after second go if not working.

Dont feed fish too much when treating and leave lights off for all treatment time. ( catfish dont need light to feed )

Feed same food as parents and leave in tank as long as possible if removing to a grow out i only do at 3cm tl.

Here's a picture of some mixed age babies with a dad.
