bulkheads & overflows

Im bouncing around Ideas of a few tanks on a sump! anyone have any advice on what bulkheads and pipe to use for the overflows?

I have used TMC bulkheads and standard water waste pipe (correct size) from B&Q then a strainer on the end. Only advise I have is only start fiotting the bulkheads on a day when you have nothing else to do and test for water tightness at each stage.

so are your bulkheads 32mm then Jo? regarding testing its early stages yet and it would be all new/dry system so will take your advice and test as i go.

I use 22.5mm (1") overflow pipe. It's probably too small
and draws in air which tends to gurgle and slow the flow.
It tends to back up then gush down. I really need to redo
it. I'd use 40mm (1.5") waste pipe next time.
