I found my male Calico BN guarding a clutch of eggs today, I lost my female Calico so it must have spawned with an Albino which is in the tank, I dont know how it works but there should be some interesting fry coming from it.
i'll bet you'll get all calico fry.... lol...:whistle::whistle:I found my male Calico BN guarding a clutch of eggs today, I lost my female Calico so it must have spawned with an Albino which is in the tank, I dont know how it works but there should be some interesting fry coming from it.
I hope you're right, I would prefer to get all Calico, easier to move on.i'll bet you'll get all calico fry.... lol...:whistle::whistle:
albino is a recessive gene... hence you'll need two parents carrying the gene to produce albino offspring.... bar genetic mutations (very rare)
the only way you'll get some albino fry from this spawn is if the male was spawned from albino/calico parent originally... and even then you'll get about 50-50 ratio of each...
i can guarantee it.... have a bet with your mates and bet on calico fry... :thumbup:I hope you're right, I would prefer to get all Calico, easier to move on.
