Copepods

hi,ive seen some very very small copepods in my 75L.i know there harmless and the fish can eat them but where did they come from?:dk:
the only new thing in the tank was a plant,but that was over a week ago,and new clean water..

Hi all,
They probably came with the plants, they may well be Ostracods (Seed shrimps) rather than Copepods, the reason I say this is that they can encyst and survive drying out.

I often get them in trays and things which have been in the glass-house, and then filled with water even though they have never been anywhere near a pond etc.

cheers darrel.did try to get a better look at one just now but one of my tetras got there before i did..
