lol the plecos i have listed are the ones i have now. the common was about 2in when i got him but ive had him before i had this 20gal. now he is about 4 in. the albino, longfin, and clown are about 3in and the other bn is about the size of the common. none of them have ever picked on each other or anyone else. but that doesnt mean they wont. and i heard that boiling the drift wood for an hour takes more of the tannins out. is that true more experienced people?
LOL i obviously didnt realize they were the ones you already had...glad to hear they are tiny...& that they dont have problems with eachother - i've wondered about that with plecs...i guess if they grow up together they are better, i dont think i could add another with mine without problems

Little tip with adding a new fish to reduce fighting. Totally rearrange the tank first so everyones displaced and have to resettle. They probably won't pay much attention then to the new guy. :)

It did have when it was a fry. Its a vampire pleco and they were raised with a certain type of baby brine shrimp which made them develop pink spots.
They have outgrown that now and just white spots.

Feed them just about anything. Things like watermelon rind with a bit of the red still on, you will have to remove after only a few hours as the tank water temperature will soften it very fast. Apple can ferment as well, so just keep an eye on it as to how long you leave it in there.

Not as a main food, but sometimes with my bigger wood eating panaques I will add a piece of hard sweet potato or yam. Keeps them busy chomping for days! lol.

heres just an update for everyone that has helped me through this disaster.

i have moved my plecs to another 20gal tank, i let it cycle for a month. i will get pics up soon. i boiled my drift wood till the water stayed clear. no more brown water! lol. the tank that everything was in i emptied everything, i scrubbed it and cleaned it and it is up and starting the cycling process now. i also have purchased two 75gal tanks and a 125gal tank that are all set up and cycling, im going to cycle them for a long time to make sure nothing can go wrong. i also set up a 55 gal that is cycling that im going to use for water to exchange in the other tanks. thats about all i have done so far. its takin me a while due to i have school from 7am - 3pm four days a week and work 4pm - midnight 5 days a week. its a slow process but i have been researching more on here and other places to set this up properly. anyway i have to get ready for work so i would just like to send out a big thank you for everyone that has put in any imput along the way and sorry i havent been on much to update. thanks guys.

Jorden.

im guessing the 55 is only to age the water and give him the chance to treat the water as most do with barrels.

just make sure you have a good air flow running through the 55
My guess as well, but in that they said "cycling" just wanted clarification & to determine if this was the same type of "cycling" they were accomplishing on their other tanks, which without fish present is pointless.
