I have bred several plecs but none are quite as fast as the Claro BNs, I realised how quick they were when I looked at the dates on my photos.
here is Dad with two mums both trying to lay eggs.

and a couple of hours later I checked on progress
and found new laid eggs -this was 27 may.

then yesterday I was doing w/c and thought I saw some new young,
so I checked in cave to find lots ready to come out. (8 June)

So 12 days.

i have a breeding group of 8 L411, 3 males & 5 females i believe. during the last week i have had 3 spawns so far and another trapping at the moment. Slightly different i know as i have more than 1 male but previously i have had 3 spawns over a 10 day period all from the same male, as soon as eggs or fry are gone he has trapped another female and spawned withing a few hours

I had a clutch of ancistrus sp3 born removed them 1 week after being layed, 5 days and another clutch was on the way that hatched about 3 days ago.
I guess removing the fry in my case sped up the process.
