At the moment we are setting up a dedicated fish room to house our 25 tanks of various sizes in, the question i have is i have 4 x L333, 4 x wild L16, and 6 x brisltnoses, i have no expereince of breeding them as i am only growing them on at the moment with a plan to breed them, the L333 are kept in with our Discus growing on tank as i know they like soft water, The L16 and golden bristle noses are in with the Angelfish growing on tank and they are in HMA water, but as they get nearer to breeding size they will go into RO soft water.
becasue we are in the process of setting the room and tanks up, i was wanting to know if any of these above need to be kept in groups to breed or can they have a dedicated tank to a single breeding pair, if they can go as a pair what size tank would i be looking at for the pair, they will run be on air filter, but i know that some plecos need more flow so we would take that into consideration and add a internal filter to the tank, also we have bogwood for then already and also will get caves nearer the time.
Reason i am asking this so early on is because of setting the room up we want to get it right for our pleco from the start, and also so we can plan ahead.
Any advice would be gratefully received
