help bristlenose eggs in my tank

hi my bristlenose has laid eggs she laid them in the roof of my bogwood, i noticed the other day that there were a couple on the floor and then i saw little babies on top of the eggs and most of them were on the floor of the tank moving around. Today when i looked i could only see a couple of orange babies with their eggs and the other eggs have gone white and as if it was the shell of the egg is this meant to happen as i cant see any babies without egg sacks around and im worried if they have died. please help as its my first time doing this and not sure what is meant to happen

If the eggs have gone white looks like they are covered with fungus. Dont worry, sounds like its there first spawn. The young that have hatched will have there egg sacks with them for a bit.

With each spawn i have had the servival rate has go better, they lean and i do.

I will let other reply with more info.

What is the male bristlenose doing?

The roof of the bog wood sounds a bit awkward for the male to be fanning which could be why some of them have turned white.

Do you have a cave in the tank for the male. If not try adding one, the dad does all the work for you..so sit back relax, keep on top of your wc and they will spawn again in no time...If you don't want babies, don't add a cave & leave any eggs to be food for the others, sounds cruel but thats nature after all...

congrats on breeding, yes it sounds like a better cave would help next time, if you cant get/make a cave try a flower pot for now.

for scattered eggs which are still viable not fungused i use a 390ml coke plastic bottle with a airhose connector through the screw on lid in the boottle add a air tubing with a airstone the other end is connected to the air pump regulate air rate to airstone with a air tap

there is nothing else in the tank with them. all the eggs were orange and had hatched then within 24hrs most of them had turned white and just looked like shells,dad is with them. how long do they keep there egg sacks on

once out of breeding log normally no egg sack normally developed by then but if wrigglers with egg sack attached 3 - 5 days

If you have eggs or wrigglers on the floor of tank you can scoop em up carefull and put them into a fry saver, Here are some I prepared earlier lol You can see three egg sacks near the right corner. they are only hours old, they should have absorbed their eggs sac by the 5th/6th day, Depending on their development, then they will venture out to find alternative food...

if they hatched in 24 hrs, they would have been laid several days ago, they usually take 5 days to hatch.

the 3 clear ones in the pic were what some of mine looked like but then they vanished over night and i can only find the orange wrigglers left.

when i had loads of eggs kicked from a cave. i put them in a clean icecream tub with a airstone wrapd with filter floss running.i then floated this in parents tank.

these all survived with 100%daily waterchange with water from parents tank

and big enough to release back into the tank :yes:in no time at all

if you get eggs again perhaps you could try this to save them
