If the location where it was caught is not known, it is very difficult to say which species or form of worm-lined Hypancistrus it is.
If the Hypancistrus are not too young, you may be able to make a rough classification based on the body proportions. But that is not certain either. The drawing in worm-lined Hypancistrus is generally not sufficient.
Especially with Hypancistrus sp. "L 236" you should be able to rely on the seller. Otherwise you should not buy the catfish as such.
If you have different Hypancistrus species or forms, you should separate the plecos before they become sexually mature.
