HELP please!!!!!

My lights broke and whilst they were not working (about a week) I got an outbreak of god knows what. I would assume fungal as there was no light.
I can not get rid of this stuff. I have cleaned it right out 3 times now and it comes back. It is like a dirty cotton wool over EVERYTHING.
Any ideas what it is?
How do I get rid of it for good?

It looks fungal.It may not be anything to do with the light breaking.

Is the "bog wood" in the photo new in the tank? You often get these sorts of fungal out-breaks when you add wood that has dried with the sap still in it.

Best option is to carry on changing water and syphoning it out.
