I've only recently started breeding bristlenose. First spawn, I moved the whole cave with the dad and fry to another tank and eventually moved dad and the cave back once the fry were all out swimming.
If I can offer only one piece of advice, it would be "Don't use new driftwood in your fry tank!"
I can't be certain, but I'm pretty sure that this is what caused my entire first spawn to die. I should have known better. Try to use driftwood that's already been in another tank for a while. At least you know it's not going to cause problems for your fish then.

Mine have only spawned once since then and the male SUCKED at looking after the eggs.
Just playing the waiting game now.

Hi caitlen!
Thanks for the tip!!
So far Ive had 7 spawns at the moment.
When you said you moved the day and fry to another tank, does that second tank have the same water running in both tanks?? Because I know that if you move frys to a different tank which doesn't have the same water flow as the previous tank, then the fry's are more susciptible of dying because the water will have slightly different parameters... Maybe that's why your fry died instead of the new driftwood... Or it could be both.
Maybe others could help out on this one :)

Thanks Caitlen!!! And I hope your's are going well!!
