BEEN TRYING MY colony of 1m 4f for aver a year, success today. left them alone, did bugger all to the tank, one sponge filter heaps of airation, 2 small powerheads pointing across caves, fed only on hikari algae wafers and carnivore pellets, 50% wc with tap water, drop[ from 29-23c in wc, raised rapidly back up to 29 overnight.

I SWEAR I have tried everything with these, every scheme tactic and program i have found or made up myself, u know what worked, ignoring them. same with all my other plecs, leave them the hell alone.

Only one left unfortunately, i bought 6 at $800ea, they came in with some kind of sickness, not sure what, treated them for everything when i found out they were crook, lost 4 at that time, lost one later on for no apparent reason but it was about a year after i guess. its not real big probably ten cm

**** happens, I guess. Sometimes things happens that we have no control ower
or are unable to do something about.
My six are getting on like a house on fire and are showing no signs of any ailments. They eat almost anything I throw in to them.
But what I am most pleased about is that they dont behave like all my other plecs in that they are out and about all the time and not hiding away for only to come out at feedingtimes.
What you paid for yours is more then what I paid for mine. Tre six of them cost me about $ 2500,- but I would haste to add that I got them from Brasil in a paralel import to Germany.
I have had them now for a couple of months, but it looks promising and who knows, maybe I get to breed them and if so, Ill give you half a dozen:clap:

thanks for the offer but its illegal to import most fish, inc L600 into australia, border control and quarantine here are the tightest in the world.
