was doing a water change y'day and saw 1 of my 114's looking stunning and thought to my self " gotta be a male" so i tried to find the other for a comparison, found it and it had a very pointed head in comparison and short fins. then she shot to the other side of the tank and noticed she was gravid!
I cant believe it but i aint got a clue! i need advice (gee.... get in touch) and the right sized caves. thanks for reading, wish me luck!

lol. All I did was start feeding loads of prawns after a big water change. Try and find some 3" or 4" clay pipe from your builders yard and block the back off with some slate. Apart from that you just need to sit back and wait

Goodluck matey

If you have lots of Psueda Ryan then it might be worth getting a 4ft to have a go at breeding some. I have had better result with breeding by having pairs and trios. You could always let someone else have your spare ones:hi:

thanks for all the advice, guys. need to shift some fish around to make some space and keep them on there own, they,re not exactly large specimens so it my be tough to them to fend off intruders. im worried about moving them though as it will be diffeent water and different parameters.

I do this with cichlids but, I would remove enough water to fill half the other tank so each tank has 50% roughly aged water and a few pieces of decor, then just fill up with new clean water, just acts as a big water change.

Good luck with them mate! I will ring you later tonight/tomorrow.

Cant you put a temporary divider in the tank until any fry you get are too big to be easy targets?
