Quick question for you bristlenose experts, do L144 cross with standard bristle noses given the chance?, I guess they do but just need to find out for someone.
Thanks Paul

The L144 currently distributed in the pet trade is thought to be a variation of the Common BN, Ancistrus cf. cirrhosus, so can breed with Commons and variants. The original L144 was a different species however Ancistrus have interspecific cross-bred.

My young L144 female bred with a brown male and had brown babies, can't tell the young from normal L144, won't be happening again though, the male soon got removed.

Like Gem, my L-144 female bred with a common BN, an albino in my case. Resultant fry were brown, and flashier than my regular browns when very young, but soon became indistinguishable from the common browns.

Most L-144 around today are thought to be just another color morph of the common BN, so definitely they will breed.
