I checked the cave of one of my L183 groups this morning and found that they have a batch of eggs, checked my other group half an hour ago because I hadn't seen them for a few days and found that they have spawned as well, I have had both groups for ages now and tried all sorts with no result and then when I have just about given up both groups spawn at virtually the same time, in different tanks, amazing.:woohoo:

Well done mate, has there been a ambient change where you are? or was simple neglect wins again? lol
Simple neglect I think, I had done the water changes and tried different foods and temperatures and nothing happened so I gave up and haven't done a water change in those 2 tanks for 2 weeks and lo and behold 2 lots odf eggs.
To be honest I dont do water tests, it may sound daft but my fish tell me when there is something wrong ie they start acting strangely and the snails start gathering halfway up the glass, thats when I do massive water changes. I dont recommend this method though because I lost 2 tanks of fish earlier this year because I took my eye off the ball, I use this method because I am disabled and cant do regular water changes.
My L260 spawned twice, L270 once and L181 once without constant water changes so I must be doing something right. Sorry about the lengthy reply but I love my BNs and Plecs and am sure they are what is keeping me going.

Both lots of L183 hatched and have now started coming out of the caves, one batch looks about 20 or so and the other looks like about 50 or so. I have noticed that the male of the trio of wild ones seems to have a bluey tinge to his tail band, I read somewhere that the colours of Whiteseams can vary but are they still called Whiteseams?

brilliant, well done.
yes they, and a few others, are sometimes called white seam, but some species loose the white edge when they grow up.
look forward to some pics!
