L199

Hi all, ive just jumped at the chance to buy a mature trio of L199 and would like (attempt to anyway!) to breed them.

Was just wondering if anyone has bred them before or could give me some advice as ive heard they can be a little tricky compared to other hypans??

The best advice i was given when starting out just under a year ago was to be regular with water maintenence, feed good foods and try not to bug them too much but above all...patience! i have 6 sets of hypans and apart from a dozen l046 which are yet to mature ive managed to spawn them all. I realised after 6 months i was getting on there nerves checking on them every 5 minutes and they do really just like to be left to their own devices. As long as the tank setup is to their liking it really isnt that difficult.

The only problem i have from what you have said is that the tank is in a bedroom. Obviously its not right by the door but will people walking in and out disturb them enough to stop them breeding?

my L066 group are in my bedroom and they spawn

less disturbance there than in a living room!
I have hypans breeding in my porch which gets constant disturbance from visitors and us and dogs going in and out of the garden.
