After so many years of plecoing, keeping and breeding hypans, finally saw this elusive fish in person. Knowing the id keys and the controversies behind this enigmatic sp., and all the reading and viewing pics on the internet, all the false hopes, I felt like I hit an important milestone
The first fish arrived with caudal spine broken and was surgically removed by new owner. Long slender fish, consistency in creamy white solid base color (unlike L66, 174, 333, 173, 46, lower xingu, etc, that I have seen). Forked tail, graceful line.<3 Wanted to share it here.
Fish and pictures courtesy of Trix (Singapore).
Enjoy!
