hi all. been a long time since talked on here due to work commitments and have over the last few months been buying some l260. so whilst cleaning tonight have seen biggest male fanning eggs. so the question i have is there are also adult sterbia in with these and if the eggs do hatch will they be okay with the corys or do i remove the corys from the tank. thank you brian.

they should be fine, the male will usually protect the eggs and fry and the sterbai should not touch them. well done and good luck. cheers jk

but if an egg or wriggler gets past male they will prob end up cory tucker :)

and 260 fry are quite small when they leave cave so i myself wouldnt risk leaving corys in the tank... or put male/cave/eggs in a frysaver and set up a powerhead to provide plenty of water flow to and in frysaver :)

Any eggs or wigglers that get kick out of the cave will be food for everyone including other L260s. I keep the L260 breeding group by themselves. They are one of the more sensitive Hypancistrus species. The fry grows just as slow as L46 and L262. They also do not compete well with other plecos let alone aggressive corys. You are better off removing the corys to another tank so the fry have a better chance of surviving.

Here are a couple of videos of my L260s using my Galaxy S4....enjoy.
