I had a nice surprise when I was doing my maintenance this afternoon. I found the first batch of eggs from my young L316 
Very surprising because the fish themselves are only just about 18 months old or even less! Average size is 7-8cm TL. Never saw the young male with a female in the cave or even saw him fanning to attract a female. I was more expecting the first eggs to be laid this summer not now
Here are some pictures of the fish. No pictures yet of the dad and his brood. I don't want to disturb him with his first attempt. When or if he throws out the hatchlings then I will take pictures day by day so we can all see them growing
Set up as it is today. The young male is the one in the light brown colored cave.
Here are some pictures of the fish when I caught them to be housed in an other part of the breeding tanks. This was a few weeks ago.
