Hi Guys, was tidying up tank and disturbed the breeding log and discovered 40 odd eggs... Whst are the chances the father will go back to same log and continue his business bit frustrated as this is his first spawn for me!! :dk: thanks Luke

Are the eggs still attached inside the log?
If you put the log back and turn the light out he should go straight back there.
It's weird he left the log though. If he doesn't go back you might have to rescue them

can you tell if he is back in the log? if he isnt then you may have to move them to a fry saver.
thats sounds a very good sized bunch, well done

Ok, thanks for quick replies everyone.. Eggs were attached bar 3 which I attempted to place back in... Turned off light and I believe I see a tail back in there hopefully it's the same Dad.. Do they have a scent or something that could tell them that's there clutch? Fingers crossed we get most of them up to a good size!!

Father is still tucked away in the log. It's one of those log ones where you can't see past the fish. I only hoping his isn't eating them. So it is a waiting game!! Fingers crossed will post if we have survivors! Cheers Luke
