hello all.
so it would appear ive had a suprise spawn:clap: as i went up to check on them 4 days ago i noticed 2 baby plecs trying to eat the bloodworm/brine/mysis i put out for the adults.
i didnt notice any trapping or anything so as you can imagine this came as a nice suprise. They are around 1cm long and have no egg sacks.
the tank did seem to go quiet for a couple of weeks so i assume this happened then.
I only spotted 2, and now the tank has become more active with the adults. im a little worried, however as i havent seen them since.
so question is where do i go from here?
They are in their own 24g tank. 2 filters, 2 1000LPH internals well aerated.
they have only been in this new tank to their self for around 3 weeks. i was quite suprised as the move proved quite stressful. ideally i want the best survival rate but as i only spotted 2 free swimming plecs in the tank i fear the worse.
Should i take this as a lesson and take more notice in future? making sure to get the male and cave into a fry trap?
Any input welcome. thanks in advance. hope everyones well. good to be back
.
regards charles.
