L66 Fanning?

Hi all again.Just a bit of advice really.Today and still going all my 9 adult king tiger plecs are fanning,not necessarily in a cave.Yes all of them,i see mum and dad from before are at it again and shes trying to get into the cave.Are they all just trying to atrract each other or is there something else i should be considering?Thanks,any advice would be appreciated:woohoo:

has the flow been decreased in the tank at all?, seems odd that all 9 are fanning.
are they breathing ok?

Thx scatz for replying.Its onyl them doing it aswell,no other plecs or fish.Strange.Only got 2 males and many females so perhaps their trying to compete?

How big is the tank?

I would be looking at either the flow or lack of oxygen. All of them fanning would have me concerned that something isnt right with the water. I would be inclined to test the water just incase.

I hope its a hypan orgy though

cheers G,nah its def not the water or the air..water perfect and diffuser also working a charm.They are all in or next to caves now.Its def a sexy dance but just wanted to check.Weird that all of them are doing it and still tody they are at it.

somethings not quite right... they only fan when stressed or the male will fan in relation to spawning... whether hes building up his muscle strength, trying to attract a female, fanning eggs, or trying to kick out intruders to his cave

i'd be keeping a close eye on them just in case something is irritating them and causing some stress
