Update for today, I noticed my dominant smaller male has now found a different cave and stopped lingering around the larger male a few days ago. Although its been a few days now and the larger male has not come out of his cave. So last night I thought I would have a pep and see what was going on, And the larger male is right up at the back of the cave but not moving. Im a bit worried if he is hurt or worse died. He looks ok and hasnt lost any colour or anything to look dead but when I shined a torch in the cave last night he didnt move. Normally he wouldnt leave his cave although at times I would see him half sticking out of the cave or something like that but found it unusual when he didnt budge when I shined a torch in there. Someone please put me to rest with this issue.

another suggestion, is to start up a new thread for a new issue. People might not look at the aquaium and set/up issue thread as they have no idea it is a health issue. So next time pop it in a new thread under the subject you wish. you will then get more responses. cheers jk

ok, its so hard though. All I really do is check on them in the morning and then again when I get home from work and feed them. Thats it, so they don't really get much attention. How many weeks/months before I can start trying things to get them going?

the more you look, the longer it takes. the more you do stuff the longer it takes. These Ls are not like chickens or rabbits. Did you expect to buy 2 pairs and voila baby fry next week ? my last suggestion to you would be, take a few steps back, just feed them, let them be and let them settle. do your normal water changes but let them be . hope eventually it works for you. cheers jk

Ok, No I knew it will take agesss, didn't expect to see babies right away. I will stop looking in the mornings and just continue at night after work to feed them. Like I said they don't really get much attention anyways but I will try a little less. Saturdays are my maintenance days so that when I do my 30% WC and don't feed on that day. Sunday-friday I feed at night and thats it. No peeking nothing, just let them be :) I have also ordered some viformo so Hopefully gets here soon and they like it :D

thanks

I have found these to be seasonal. Mine take a break during the summer and re-start in autumn. You have also had them from someone else which would have disturbed them plus you have now put them back together in a group which will also disturb them so you will have to be patient I'm afraid and spend the time getting them into breeding condition with good food and super clean water

Thanks Joby, I am letting them settle in. I am feeding them frozen bloodworms 1 x per week and then the other 5 days I alternate between Viformo and NLS. This should be a good feeding regime I would think.
