I have heard different pleco owers and breeders say they feed NLS to their fish but omg there is varieties of it. Which one???

IMO doesn't really matter. The ingredients are pretty much the same, only slight percentage difference.
For plecos, you want one that sinks and doesn't break down easily. NLS has H2O Stable formula that is specifically designed for plecos. The marketing says it doesn't break down as fast as the others, hence "Stable".
I never used this and a bit reluctant to try as I read reports from other pleco keepers that their fish won't touch this.

One thing I don't like about NLS is that it is "dusty" (don't know the right word for it), if you know what I mean...

I settled on the nls growth formula, basically because its small and shouldnt clog delicate systems. I only feed it as an additive though and not as a stand alone food.

Was out at Trans aquarium in Canley vale Sydney they were telling me that they have had a lot of people with Bloat with L numbers and informed me it was the NLS algae flake food that has caused the death of 3000+++ of my L number fry, to rich. they recommended Hikari tropical sinking wafers. purchased small bag will give updat in one month .

What plecs are you feeding?
A lot of foods are too rich in animal protiens for plecs. I would imagine the Hikari would be just as bad as the sinking wafers are designed for bottom feeders, not specifically for herbivores. Take a look at the ingredients, if animal meals are at the top of the list you could have problems with plecs.
I highly doubt that! Realistically feeding flakes is out of date, as it states on the side of the container where the warning is most is not consumed and alot is simply wasted along with the vitamins that are immediately dilute once in the water. Plecs have an extremely fast digestive tract feeding flake with very little fiber will leave the emaciated quite quickly and with there bottom dwelling habits its very unlikely you noticed this. Nls carries a guarantee and if you had any trouble should contact the shop who provided it or go direct to the manufacturers.
I dont use flake for anything (except my white worm culture).
