hi, we are planning on vacation soon, and our friend will be house/dog/fish sitting . He also happens to be a painter and I would like to have him paint the formal living room where my 54g corner tank and a 10g tank are. Obviously I can't move them , and he said he could get behind them no problem . We would be using latex paint . Is this safe for the fish ?

If so , should he cover the tanks/HOB filters with a sheet while painting ? What do other members here do? Emptying them to move them is off the table, just had knee surgery , not to mention the fish freaking out . thanks,

I've painted and put towels and sheets over the tanks for a couple of days. Air the room as much as possible & you should have no problems. I hope all goes well & I hope your knee heals quickly
